Kyoto (京都), is Japan's 7th largest city and has a population
close to 1.5 million (2008 est).  Formerly the imperial capital of
Japan, it is now the capital of Kyoto Prefecture, as well as a
major part of the Osaka-Kobe-Kyoto Metropolitan area.

=> Central - The center of Kyoto and often the first place travelers will see when
visiting.  Kyoto Station is the mass transit point via bullet train and city bus.
